I just started hosting my own home game and things are going well so far. been playin online way more than live. I'm having a problem sometimes determining when it should be a split pot ,(high kicker or not), I'm so used to the automated online thing. Is there any formula or straight forward way for me to be sure when these hands come up, or is just my lack of live time that keeps me from knowing on the fly, thanks and GL to all forum members.....

basicly just look out for paired boards mate, and also try and buy yourself a 4 coloured deck. the amount of times you see people not see a flush till the other guy is about to take it down, can get nasty. small things like a guy who gets pocket 3s and the boards :Tx :Tx :Jx :Jx :2x then his hand is beat by :4x :3x, as the high card 4 plays.
i mean to be honest remember it is a 7 CARD GAME where 5 can be used. also if this helps when its a split if theres odd numbers of dollar in the pot, the guy who called the agressor gets the excess,
try to avoid games like omaha and hi lo games when at home, gets messy
hope that helped.

Just look for each players best 5 cards. I find people miss split pots when you get a hand like :Ax :Tx vs :Ax :Kx and the board comes
:5x :5x :9x :7x :9x ... Had someone leave their seat and make his way to the bar last night when I was dealing that exact hand. Just remember to play the top 5 cards and it should be fine.
