Myself, I've spent about $2000 on online gambling, and come out with a loss of about $1000 of that. Luckily I've learned my lesson and am now staying away from actual gambling online, I don't like the risk of a game being rigged.

I used to gamble a fair bit, but I've cut back loads. I mainly go on Betfair and for a while I traded in tennis matches. When I started I was making around ?100 per day ($200ish) and thought it was dead easy, and that was only using a fairly small stake to gamble with. Then after a short time, a shock defeat was on the cards and the match took an unexpected change and I panicked and tried to cut my losses. Basically, I ended up losing around ?500 ($1000) on a single match and I was devistated. I'm a person that usually bets ?2 a time on things like first to score in the football, not someone that's betting hundreds on a tennis match I know nothing about.

Took me a while to get over that, I really did feel **** for ages. Then last football season, I discovered another great scheme - one goal or more betting. Crap odds, around 1.1, but how many games end up 0-0? Not many at all. Managed to build up nicely then hit 3 0-0's in a row and was skint again. At least this time it was all money I'd built up from a tenner so not the end of the world. Trouble with this is you end up betting on games you know nothing about. I was betting on Scandenavian games, 3rd division Greek matches - not even the people that live there care about these games and I was betting on them.

Now I just bet on major events like Ascot and Cheltenham or the golf majors but only for fun. Back to my old levels of bets and enjoying it again. Quite pleased with my bet on Sergio to with The Open at 36 :D

I love gambling, but I'd never get in deepish again, far to scarey. It's so easy to get sucked in to things, but when it goes right, it's bloody good fun! I'm bound to give one goal or more another go in the new season :D

I would have spent around $500 so far and would have gained back around $300 and would have lost around $200 from the money i tried. It may be plus or minus always as its always unpredictable.
