Unlucky man, another deep run, nice effort.
What was your payout?

Ty man, 7th was $1945. First was $15k and the money jumps were all getting pretty good as well. Really was gutted to go that deep and get sucked out on for the chip lead.

Wow. I had no idea you were playing for so much. Good ship to keep the bankroll ticking but daaaayum! That 25bb pot meant a lot :s

I like that you just opened with AKo instead of just jamming. You got what you wanted, a worse hand to jam you, just blows the best doesnt hold ever.

I'd much rather just open with hands like KJ/KQ/22+ and not fold anywhere (if for some reason I get called). Raising 2.3x UTG with 12.5 bbs looks massively strong and is more likely to fold out worse. If we jam AK, people are much more likely to double you through with worse... which is exactly what we want.

I disagree. You are saying people's calling ranges are wider than their reship ranges.
We pretty much don't agree on anything! I love it. It just shows that there is more than one way to play this game.

I do agree with you on this point if hero was on the BTN. Inducing light 3bet jams on the BTN with a 2.x raise with premiums is always good, and I'd much sooner just ship KJ so they can't showdown with A5 or such trash. But I think UTG just making a raise and not a ship will make your ****ty hand look stronger.
This was advice I heard ages ago where my friend who had just sat at the table in MP raised to 2.5x with ATo and 10bbs. BB folded and showed AJ.
But you're right, we don't actually agree on that much lol. I have started stop n going a lot more after you mentioned it a few times. Has been working very well; something I never did in the past.

Yeah, many times there are more than one way to correctly play a hand. We usually just disagree on the best way.
