£50+6 FO at DTD

Went to DTD in Nottingham last night with a few mates, they went to play the £10 FO which tbh I would have played but apparently i'm not classed as a beginner anymore cos I played in the £50 last time. So I sat down at the £50+6 FO. After playing live a few times and failing miserable by nitting it up I decided that I would be a bit more aggro.

Starting stack of 4000
Blinds 25/50
25 minute levels
65 entrants

So early on I didn't really do too much. Decided to try and accumulate some chips on the BTN:

CO limps 100
Hero raises to 400
sb & bb fold, CO calls.
Flop comes
CO bets 500, Hero raises to 1400, CO folds.

Then I took down a pretty nice sized pot with after 3 betting pre, despite an A high flop.

Then I get involved in a pretty big pot.
Blinds 100/200.
UTG limps, CO (same guy as before) raises to 950
Hero raises to 3125
CO re ships to 6000
Hero calls
CO shows
Hero shows
Flop comes
Turn
BOOM ship it.

From here on I jus keep on accumulating chips in good spots. Had AA twice and took down decent sized pots. I was always about 2x avg stack.

Got to last 9 with 80k (260k chips in play)
Blinds 800/1600
HJ limps
I am on BTN with
I raise to 5600
bb calls, HJ folds
Flop comes
bb checks. Hero bets 6000
bb raises to 12000.
I consider sticking it in cos i thought he was shortish but look at his stack and see a massive stack of greens (1k chips) I hadn't played against vill at all so am pretty sure I have the best hand but don't wanna stick it in when miles behind so just decide to flat.
Turn comes
bb checks.
Definately should've bet here, I'm almost sure he's got a weaker ace now. But decide to be overly cautious and check.
Turn is a K. **** card. bb checks, pretty sure its a chop. Considered betting river as a semi bluff to try and fold out A but decide to check behind. He shows for a chop. nm.

Then I get 3 bet shoved by and call with and take down a very nice sized pot.

The one decent (he was v. LAG and dangerous) player on the table then gets knocked out on the bubble, I couldn't have been happier having labelled the rest of the table as fish. So 6 handed I have about 1/3 the chips in play. From here on in I decide to turn pretty aggro but obviously picking spots. We are shortly down to 4 handed after a nice hold by me with A8 vs K9. From here I have about 130k with blinds at 2k/4k (antes 400) so I turn superaggro, winning about 80% of pots as everyone is nitting it up trying to move up the money ladder.

Manage to get HU and have about 210k to 50k. Blinds 3k/6k (600 ante). he folds sb first hand. I think ok he might be waiting for a genuine hand here so i'm just gonna shove any 2 from sb next hand. I look down at . Not ideal but I move All in. He calls with Fair enough.

Board runs

SHIP IT!

Took home £1.2k ($2000) for my effort. My biggest ever pay day. I did get hit by the deck a bit but absolutely tore it up 4 handed.

Biggest Donkey at a final table since Chris Moneymaker...

We were the best railers ever. Far too loud though, Wormalon practically shouted "Bellend" at one of the players for a ****ty call. It was very funny, and well worth the rail.

Dave definitely should have got the picture + cards and chips. Profile picture for years to come!

But seriously you ran like Jesus Christ of Nazereth Tho my particular fave was still Wormalon calling sum1 a bellend quite obviously, me loudly suggesting that the penalty for super awesum guy aka Captain "I JUST WANA GO HOME!" whilst regularly shoving out of position was to suck the balls of sum strapping bald tourney director. Bt in all fairness Dave bought beers so and I did get Deaks to lay down JJ to my 72 PRE!!! HEROIC!!
