Always a call right?

That's a crazy play from him. Personally I don't think I can make this call considering the blinds. I'd be really confused by his play and almost always that means I should fold. Obviously you made the right decision, he has balls to make that shove on that flop. AK/AQ/AJ rarely shove there.

I autopiloted toward fold until i took a second to think about it. I see the same play all the time when people shove 1.5x pot with AK high onto a low board. I called pretty much out of curiosity too

Shove/fold pre imo? Yes we have position but we aren't really deep enough to use it. It's quite a big chunk of our stack if we miss flop. Out of interest: What do you do if he bets like 400?

To be honest this is an area i'm never really sure on. Though here i can't see the logic really - with 20+bb's shoving or folding KQ sounds horrible. If i miss i've still got a decent stack relative to the blinds.

If he bets 400: i think i can just fold. I tend to leave it out when it's marginal in these sngs. The standard of play is pretty poor and i'm content finding better situations to exploit.

I agree with aamir here, call pre and then i would have probs folded if he made a 400 to pot size bet. but when he shoves the only thing i would be worried about is if he has a small ace.

Yeah I like the way you played the hand here Aamir!
His shove just really doesnt make sense, and the only hand I'm worried about really is KK.
