First watch to other players and then choose the right machine to play on.
It's still hard to win something :P

Did you ever win anything of any real value on one of those crane games ?

I spent $10 in quarters, and I finally won a 50 cent plastic toy.

Yeah, I got real lucky once and grabbed my prize almost immediately. I think the settings vary - I mean the way the controls respond.

Seriously, the best way to win is to chose the machine and the prize carefully. Owners of these machines cram the toys in so that they are wedged and that weak crane can't grab em. Look for the prizes sitting on top, with no arms or legs wedged in. The ones closest to the drop hole are best - many fall off before they get to the hole.

If you watch the Crane closely, picks up the toy, goes to the top, opens a little bit, then moves to the hole to drop... nothing in.

You all didnt mention the shaking the crane does...how many times have you had the item in the crane and one jerk back to the dump hole and darned thing falls...I swear they make it violently shake so we drop the item and re-try...

I've won a couple of times at the crane games. They design the crane in the worst possible way though. To win you have to find something that is stuck up high enough so the claw can actually have time to grasp it.

The owners just stuff the things with arms in the bottom, and then have something round and to big for the crane at the top, I advise you not to play, but if you do, I wish you luck.
