Awesome Poker Software

Hey guys,

I dropped down to the $5 SNGs at Full Tilt to tweak my game a bit and to test out some new software. One that's really helping me out is FT Shortcuts. It's script that helps you multi-table. Obviously it's made for FT, but I think it works on some other poker rooms too.

Anyway, I'm usually a 4 to 5 tabler, but this thing made 8-tabling as easy as playing 4-tables. I'm even considering trying 12.

Here's the site if you want to check it out: http://www.windyhilltech.com/ (I'm in no way affiliated with them. This is an honest shout out).

I can't wait finish my tweaks and get used to the new software. It's gonna be sick when I return to the $20 games

Very strange, I was just chatting with James yesterday about tableninja.com. It's purely for PokerStars but it explains how people 50 table SNGs. It basically hot keys everything. One important thing about this is PokerStars don't have a pot bet button which I find important preflop (I'm going to love 3.5bbs instead of 4bbs at cash). It's $35.

Table Ninja looks pretty sexy too. It looks like setup and hotkeys are a lot easier than FT Shortcuts. One thing I like about FT though is that it puts how many players are left and how many BB you have at the top of each table. That helps a lot when it's time to shove/fold.

Incidentally, I tried 12 tabling and about lost my freaking mind. My session showed a profit, but I don't think I'm ready for 12 yet. I'll probably stick to 8 or 10 for a while. Still a helluva lot better than 5 tabling.

Be careful with this. It may initially seem easier than it actually is. A lot of times going from 4 to 6 is not that hard but its progressively a lot more things for your mind to analyze at once so 8 to 10 or 10 to 12 is a lot harder. Also, once you get a rush of cards at a bunch of your tables say you're in a hand at 75% most as the preflop raiser. You're going to be playing a signficantly bigger number of postflop raised pots and potentially big pots. It can become very difficult to analyze every single one at almost the same time. I wouldn't add any more than one table at a time then stick with it for a few sessions until you can handle it especially when you get over the number of say 6 at FR.

I can max out at 8 or 9 right now. However, I'm definitely missing some things when I'm actively playing at all of them. I was adjusting my hud adding things to it while I was playing today so I didn't play nearly that many.
