The best move isn't necessarily the right move...

I think it was the right laydown personally. I only had 10BBs, so ddnt wanna flat and I was almost certain that had I shoved, I was getting called.

I just think that in this situation, most of the time I'll be flipping at best, if not crushed.

Thoughts please?

I always find this situation tanman. Is a wierd one because you have only got 10bbs and you've got 99 so you think yus ship it in, but you have no fold equity and as you said are probably flipping. Question is, is it better to fold here and shove ATC in an unraised pot. It may be. I think here it genuinely depends on how i'm feeling! If i'm slightly tilty I stick it in, but if i'm really focused i (probably) lay it down. lol. Basically it is a wierd situation where you could warrant folding or shipping. Any reads on opponents? If they have been LAG then I ship it in hoping to be vs 1 over card or an underpair.

Yeah Dave. Shoving 99 isn't always the best idea!

Personally, I'd have shoved. With 10bbs, I'd like to take my chances. Might not get another decent hand.

Yea, I agree with both of you.

Another reason why I didn't ship it was because of my position. I was next on the button and I knew I would have a whole round to effectively get my chips in.

No reads on the players as I was multi tabling! One of the disadvantages I guess!

Put it in all day with the flat call. They aren't priced in to call with everything necessarily because there's a bigger implied stack behind them. Besides, them calling isn't always a bad thing. All pocket pairs 88 and below could ship with you way behind.

If CO doesn't call I do something a little different though. I go with the call preflop then push any flop stop and go style. It also gives the big blind a chance to go crazy there with hands we're likely to be way ahead of. Of course its not as great when the initial raiser calls but either way we're putting into the middle if BB does and I think on average we'll be ahead.

I can see reasons for doing both but i would fold here. You haven't got FE really nor a hand that'll neccesarily be good against EP's raise. You could laydown here and wait for a better spot to double up.
