Hand analysis basics

I think a lot of hand analysis is comparing your hand with the types of players you are playing against, and putting yourself in their shoes.

If there was a raise preflop and lots of callers and you have pocket 9s and the flop is J - K - 10, chances are you got out drawn.

On the other hand, if no one raised pre flop, you might still be in luck.

Try putting your opponent on a hand and then ask yourself, "would they really have played that in this situation by called all those raises, etc?"
