There are a countless number of styles and a countless number of variations to each style. However, most styles can be placed into two categories - either Agressive or Tight. Most younger players have developed the new Agressive style that involves playing a lot more hands and raising often. The old school style of play is a Tighter style, meaning that you play only high quality hands and limit your involvement in the game. You can make either style work for you as long as you follow the basic guidelines.
