Poker Tracker

Have just downloaded it and started using it in cash games. Free trial for 60 days with pretty much full functionality, well worth a go. I may well end up buying it after the trial period is up! Put in my first 4-table session, didn't realize you got 500 hands in about 90 minutes...

I know a few people on here are already using it, any useful changes from the basic settings any of you use?

not overly mate, try experimenting with an addition stat you like, it is an essentual tool to multitabling, and means notes do not have to be taken

Gerrard48LFC will become a pro soon enough
Send a message via MSN to Gerrard48LFC
Just add more stats to the HUD, like 3bet pre , cbet, fold to cbet, attempt to steal etc

There's a whole bunch more:

wtsd, w$sd, wmwsf, Aggression Factor, Agression Factor by street, AFq, AFq by street, fold bb to steal, fold to 3bet, 4bet, etc.

Don't add too many at once. Just see how you can use each one you have on your hud then when its integrated into your subconcious add more and repeat.

Thanks for the advice everyone...I think I'll start out with the basic HUD and add a couple of extra things once I get the hang of what's going on.

Good idea. Once you get the hang of things you can check out this post by RedJoker:
A guide to PokerTracker and PAHud.

It's probably a good idea to read through all his posts on this forum(boards.ie) as well as 2+2. There's a bunch of gems that aren't in many books or videos. It should elevate your online NL holdem game substantially.

True, have mainly been playing SNG/tourneys though. Now that I'm moving into playing more cash, thought it'd be very useful. Didn't realise there would be a free trial as well, that's just a bonus!

What kind of numbers are the first ones to look at, and what's decent for a TAG-ish player? From various posts I've seen xx/xx quoted, think that's VPIP/PFR. In that case, I'm running at about 19/10 so far.

19/10 since moving to cash? It really depends on how many players are actively at the table(6 max or FR?), implied stack sizes and to a lesser degree what your tables tend to be like. My VPIP tends to go up a lot when I can play hands behind loose bad players especially ones who call too much. What tables are you playing?
