What the hell is going on. I can't see to play a medium sized pot with an over pocket. Line advice please and is it a shove or fold on the turn?

I think this has a lot to do with the opponents. Any stats any opponent the guy calling in the pot I'm fairly confident I'm ahead of his range and would normally put him on some type of draw. I expect him to add a little bit of equity to the pot. Our check raising opponent however is much more important. I think AA and KK are unlikely but not completely eliminated, he can definitely have 33 or 77 so it all comes down to how many times he'd make this play as a semibluff or for value with a T. The 6 just doesn't complete much of anything minus 98, I really have to eliminate many of the spade semibluff hands simply cause this is a strong line pot committing himself into two opponents.
So here's the hands that come to mind bad for you: AA&KK(2): I'll leave room for him to have slowplayed a big hand occasionally taking one combination of the 6 from each 33(3): All the combinations of 33 are probably in play 77(3): Same as 33. TT(2): Re-raising is definitely plausible so i took out a combination for that 7s6s(1): I could see this semi-bluff here 98's(4): This hand actually gets here on the turn but I'm only taking 4 of the 16 available simply because its a line I don't anticipate most opponents to take although its certain plausible especially with 9s8s The hands good for you are: JJ(3): Re-raising is definitely plausible eliminated 1/2 combos any semi bluff flush draw not counting 7s6s & 9s8s: Hard to say how many combinations are here. But him betting the turn makes this likely less so. AT-JT: Again hard to say how many combinations are here. I think this is definitely a push or fold scenario and I think you need both AT and KT to at least be high likely to make this push. One of the tougher situations to play with limited reads. I wouldn't really fault you much for pushing or folding. |

His flop raise really screams set to me, most players pot raise draws to "get the pot" whilst raising 2.2-3x to "get the most" so in my eyes he has a set here a good 75% of the time, however if he was on an openender the 6 completes him
depending on how fast he bet the turn then I would shove/fold with betting fast resulting in me calling more % of the time. (for meta game if i c u at my table betting fast then I will be confused) |
