Yup. Time to die.
Think leading out postflop would have helped some, but when the inevitable raise/call and action on 4th street came you would have done very well to get away anyway.

That flop was about as bad as it could be for whilst still hitting, the thing is you're not ahead of much of his pre-flop range, AJ+ 99+. However I'm sure in game most people would stack off here out of pure irritation.

I don't think so, because on this flop, you're not even really beating his 3bet calling range anymore and even if you are beating any part of his range, you fold most (all?) of them out when you c/r. It's very much a case of fold out worse, call by better with this line.
I think I bet/fold, this does seem weak, but if he comes over the top I don't see what he does this with which you beat. Stats/reads might help, but ^. |

I don't really like this line. I gotta think that anyone who calls a re-raise has a reasonable hand. (barring a donk read on the guy).
That's a pretty wet flop and I think a bet of 2/3 on the flop chases away a retard that called with a small pocket pair hoping to flop a set and you'd only get raised by 2 pair or better. In this case you're beat by AQ, AJ, AA, JJ and QQ. Even if he was a donkey and called your RR with KTs or QJs, he's still ahead of you. The only reasonable hand you're beating on the flop would be KK and he'd probably have re-re-raise pre-flop with it. Not to mention that KK and TT both caught up on the turn. I'd bet out and fold to a raise, but keep in mind I've been a tournament nit for a while now and haven't played $0.10/0.25 in a looong time. |

I think if i'd have played that, i would have been tempted to c/c on the flop, but i'm not sure if this is the right place for pot control. Not a pretty hand, that's for sure. If you had c/c the flop than the K means you're going to hang yourself, even though you do have the house re-draw. I think most people are very capable of stacking off here.

I still prefer B/F to C/C. What happens when the K doesn't fall? we check again and fold right? There isnt many turns where we'll feel comfortable getting it in. I think C/C is a big leak. Someone correct me if im wrong though lol

Vs most players - I think the flop bet then fold to a raise. If you are called then you probably slow down on most turns.
Vs crazy aggressive donkeys or people who like to call behind to steal pots later with position - You have to recognize who is capable of betting out and stealing these pots away from you. Very often times maniacs will call behind 3bets just to try to bet you off your hand later and sometimes multiple streets. In this case I'm check calling not with the intention of pot control but he's unlikely to call with a weaker hand but likely to bet with a weaker hand. You will go broke here if they keep firing but that's ok. |
