What's Your Favorite Poker Software?
Every once in a while I do a search to see what new applications are out there to help my game. Every once in a while I come across a gem that really makes a difference and I was wondering if anyone knew of any programs that they'd like to share.
Let's forgo PokerTracker since that's the obvious one. Other than that, I like SitNGo Wizard especially for the quiz that teaches you when shoving is +EV. I also found a free program called Place Mint that's supposed to arrange your tables in any format you want (still trying to figure out how it works). Anyone else know of any? |

I know a few people here are seriously keen on Holdem Manager. Very similar to Poker Tracker 3, not quite sure how it differs but I'm sure someone will fill us in!
www.pokerstove.com is a great place to check out how much equity you're getting on any given hand. And obviously the poker odds calculators are good. I guess a sort of software is PokerXFactor's hand replayer. You can shove in a whole MTT and it'll replay it in a top quality flash player. Very good to use and even better to watch the pros who post up their replays. Unfortunately you need to be subscribed to use the replayer It's not cheap.

Poker Stove is good one. I use that to settle arguments a lot
![]() I haven't heard of Hold'em Manager. I might have to give that a try because I haven't been too happy with PokerTracker since the whole PokerTracker 3 thing and I have no idea how PokerXFactor is making money when they're competing with StoxPoker and CardRunners. To each their own I guess

I've never actually heard of StoxPoker. I think PokerXFactor survives because of Johnny Bax and the hand replayers. Never seen CardRunners but I hear a lot about them. What don't you like about PokerTracker 3?

Ever since PT and Poker Ace Hud integrated, I've had a problem with my heads-up stats. Since my laptop is so small, the stats get in the way of my check/fold/raise buttons and it gets annoying.
I've also started using it less since I've gotten into SNGs since people play differently at different blind levels and the stats are pretty much worthless. |

coach told me about telescope, which searches tables and you can filter by stat such as VPIP. e.g. filter for tables at NL50 with more than 2 players with VPIP >30 . still not got quite to grips with it yet tbh but it sounds like a great piece of kit. |

How in the hell do you run 11 screens on a laptop?!
You must have eagle eyes. If I get more that 6 screens up, 3s start to look like 8s and 4s start to look like aces. One day I'll break down and build myself a supercomputer with a massive- no wait- TWO massive screens. Unfortunately that day is a long ways away

Tbh 11 can be a bit too much. Not the size but the speed of it... I find 9 tables to be a better arrangement. It's too intense going over long periods with any more than that. If you just move the stats around you can really free up some space.

FPDB! http://fpdb.sourceforge.net/
Still far from a polished product, but I like it.
