On a totally different note - I have signed up to play the WSOP Seniors (50 and over) Event this June at the Rio (only a 1K buy-in!)- Currently I play with a lot of young folks so it'll be interesting to see if the overall style of play has an age element to it - I'm guessing yes, but it'll be interesting. I'll let you all know what I see.
Nice yea the stimulus tournament. That should get 5,000 players plus. GL with those, i am slated to play events #24, 28, 32, 36, 39, 51, 54 and hopefully will win a seat to the ME thru 1k satellites. I'll play all of those tournaments unless I make a FT in which case I won't be able to. I hope to have that problem !

The senior event (# 43) - it is a bracet event with a $1K buy-in. I was lucky enough to have a 10K profit last week at the local casinos so I figured I might be on a roll - we'll see (besides - it is only a 4 hr drive for me - I live in LA)

Good luck in that man, would you be up for writing a blog about it. I think hitthenose did so and it was quite an interesting read.

I'll be in Vegas around the time of the WSOP. Will probably just be playing cash on the side instead of any low stake tournaments.

Sick mate, How come you're going? You not fancy playing in any of the $1000/$1500 NLHE events? What stakes are the cash games there?

Sure - when I get back (hopefully not until 6/25

My luck was great yesterday live - I got to play ONE hand in the tourney. very first hand I have QJ off on the button - two limpers to me. Flop is K, 9, 10 rainbow - nut straight (yes). UTG bets - I raise min, he shoves all in, I call. He shows 9,9 for a set. TUrn = 2, river = K - bye, bye eldave in one hand. Wish he would have bet his 9,9 preflop - but I would have probably played it exactly the way he did. Sometimes poker is just inevitable.
