Mark: good to know that I helped...this is the start of a massive upswing. Trust me, I'm a doctor...

James: the PhD was on X-ray astronomy, looking at the link between star formation and million-degree temperature gas in the disks of spiral galaxies.

Jon: Depends on whether you're really interested in what you're studying. Cause you'll be doing research on it pretty much non-stop for 3-4 years. If the thought of doing that doesn't drive you crazy, it's a pretty good life! Flexible hours, working at your own pace, it's not bad. Plus you get enough to live on (more than undergrad cash)...

Gerrard: I'm holding out for flight upgrades...
