FA Vase Trophy
This Sunday is the biggest football game of the year. The FA vase trophy final. A titanic battle at Wembley Stadium:
Glossop North End vs Whitley Bay Glossop, a local team to me back home had to get through 9 rounds to get to Wembley. The semi final being an absolutely dramatic game in which Glossop equalised with the very last kick of the game to send the match into extra time before eventually winning on penalties: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo64OWAfaAc A couple of my mates are playing: Rick Bailey and David Hodges. On the video above ^^^ Rick (#7) is the goal scorer and David (#11) is the one who got the assist. If you fancy a flutter I recommend either of these as first goal scorer as very decent odds of 7/1 and 8/1 are being offered on Ladbrokes. Rick also scored the winning penalty to send his team to wembley. What a feeling! Glossop are slight underdogs at 2.6/1 vs Whitley who are at 2.37/1 Glossop tend to have an average attendence of around 100-150 so it will be interesting to see how much of Wembley is filled! I think the game is on Setanta if anyone fancies watching it. Keep a look out for me, i'll be there in the crowd, mates have hired a coach out, should be plenty of banter!! Come on The Hillmen!
