Political Analysis
50 multiple choice questions Get one right = +1 mark Get one wrong = - 1 mark Need 20/50 to pass. So i go through the paper, and I know 21 answers straight away, brilliant. Could stop there, but think about all those questions that I think I know, or have an inkling about the right answer. There are about 15 which I've narrowed it down to two out of the original four. So I decided to gamble, and guess for those 15. Result: My mark could be anywhere in between 6 - a fail - and 36 - a first. Sometimes i which i wasn't a degen.

We had a similar situation in Microeconomics last year. 3.5 marks for a correct answer, and 1.5 off for a wrong answer, and 0 for no answer.
I'm pretty sure Pates will have that exam soon, good luck with it! ps. I answered 10 questions I knew, then worked out I needed to know the question with 75% accuracy for me to be able to answer it, if not, I left it.
