live casino blackjack
okay, so i wanna get your guys opinion about blackjack in casionos. As you know some sites online seem a fixed as hell and i stay well clear of online blackjack just because i could never trust it.
As we know, blackjack is a long run losing game and there isnt anything we can do to change this, I play very rarely, but do tend to play a few hands if im at the casino for a poker tournament and we come to a break. I have always had very little success, i play perfect startegy but still lose far more hands than percentage says i should. Im hoping maybe someone could clear this up ad maybe somebody has worked as a croupier in a casino, but then i suppose it would still be possible you wouldn't know. If the casino was to make the shoe of cards very heavy in low card (2-7) this gives the house a lot more edge than if there was to be the correct number of each cards. so ie say it was one deck blackjack then instead of having 4 kings in the deck maybe there would be 1 king and then 7 2's. And because casinos use about 6 decks i think, and because those 6 decks are never played fully through without the cards being shuffled then there is no way for the punter to know. The casino could do this all night every night and probably go undetected because the cards are shuffled when you get to the shuffle card meaning nobody would ever know exactly what cards are in the whole of the deck. Your theories and responses please! |

They deal 6 decks at the casinos I've been to. I'm sure you would notice if a large % of low cards were coming out at each deal of the deck. It's hard to rig though seeing as a player at the table chooses where the cut card goes rather than the dealer. I think it'd make much more sense for the dealer to just play everything legit and take the 0.5% edge that the house has (or less). I think Gary was an ex-croupier but it's been a while since I've seen him around.

Dont they deal 8 decks in a casino? Besides I don't see why a [online] casino would bother rigging it anyway. IT HAS A HOUSE EDGE!!!

in reference to the 2 spade 2 spade hand, with 6 decks there would be 6 two of spades so just by seeing two of them you would never know if there were more or less than six in the whole deck. And of course online casinos would have reason for rigging, if house edge is about 1 percent and they rig it so they are getting five pcent, they are making five times as much money!
