dollar PokerStars Review

The Quick Summary
PokerStars is quite literally the biggest poker room in the world. The site has some great promotions including the "PokerStars planets” which is a great SNG tournament league system. For the cash game players they offer a 100% match up bonus up to $50. The poker room is welcoming to US players and has many satellites to large live poker events around the world including WSOP and LAPT. Something that outshines PokerStars from the rest is their great customer support, with very quick response times and helpful answers.

Traffic: Outstanding (5/5)
Being the largest online poker room (ranking number 1 in world traffic) traffic is always high. Whether you want to play NL holdem, Omaha, Seven Card Stud or HORSE there is always a game running. They also offer large tournaments with guaranteed prize money such as the Sunday million. Buying for these tournaments range from 10 cent to over $1000 so there is a tournament for every player.

Player Competition: Difficult (3/5)
Finding a table on PokerStars is never hard however this is not always a good thing. Being just a Poker room the client doesn’t attract casino gamblers which are the easiest type of fish. So your competition on stars is a little higher than that of Casino/Poker rooms such as Bodog. That being said this doesn’t become a problem until you find yourself playing 1/2 dollars and above, players have reported lower win rates than on other sites. This is mainly for cash games. Tournament players on PokerStars tend to be much softer than your cash game player, making the tournaments a very lucrative money maker.

Site Software: Outstanding (5/5)
The PokerStars software runs slick and fast even with the huge player traffic that the site receives. The software is very reliable; the data and statistics functions let a player to get information about many figures including flop percentage seen/raised.

Multitablers will be ecstatic to hear that you can multi-table up to 8 tables at one time. The players have total control of the software; being able to free resize the tables and even choose a custom theme for each one. The lobby and tables are very customizable and easy to change. The players can upload their own images to show themselves at the table in every game. There is also an option to block these player images.

Customer Support: Outstanding (5/5)
Even though PokerStars do not offer a telephone support service yet their email support is excellent. Players will receive a quick custom response from customer service representatives and if you highlight a problem they will try and solve it accordingly. PokerStars have the best customer support i have ever witnessed on any poker site.

Site Promotions: Average (2/5)
PokerStars currently offers a 100% first-time deposit bonus up to $50. To earn this, bonus players must play a certain amount of raked hands depending on the bonus amount. Compared to other poker rooms the bonus amount is small but great for a beginner player to get stuck into. Players that earn their money through the bonuses may want to stay clear of this bonus as it’s not too lucrative.

PokerStars also offer a promotion for SNG players called "PokerStars planets" offering money to the top league winners in each SNG class. Read the rules here.

Overall Review: Excellent (4/5)
PokerStars is the market leader in online poker tournaments and online ring games. The software is made for serious players. Some of the professional poker players who are sponsored by PokerStars include Chris Moneymaker, Isaac Haxton, Joe Hachem, Isabelle Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Humberto Brenes and William Chen.

Pros:
- Great fast software.
- Nice Graphics.
- Resizable tables.
- Lots of large guaranteed tournaments.
- Great loyalty program.

Cons:
- No phone support.
- Good players.
- No rakeback.

He got "11380" from me.

Basically my ICQ address back in the day was 113801258 I can't believe I still remember it. I used to use the starting 5 numbers for loads of things and James used my accounts for some things and that "username" just stuck. I can't remember but we were using each other PokerStars accounts for some reason. I'm sure there was a point to it.
