arrow Staking Forum and Blog Forum?

What do people think about these? We are considering adding them to the site.

Staking forum will involve members of the site buying a share in a player for a single tournament. Currently shares would only be able to be bought in a player for low stake tournaments and only loyal members of the site would be allowed to get staked. There will be a results and hand posting forum to go with it. If it works out then people can start buying shares for larger tournaments.

Blogging forum. Anyone who wants a thread can have a blog and post in it to keep thoughts (not to post tons of hands) and track their play. Other members won't be able to post in their thread.

i like the blog idea, except one small alteration, is there anyway you could for example let people comment on the blog, but minimize their replies? and then the user could bring up other peoples replies if they pressed a coments button under each blog write up?

    Staking idea is good too

Really like the idea Nick. I agree with Fairy about being able to comment on it, make it similar to other blogs in that respect.

I'll have a look into it. A blog section would take minutes to set up. Staking could take a while though. Need some sort of form to fill out to say that a stake is taking place and give details on it.

Good to see the blog forum start up, i'll be interested to see what happens with the staking, and how much money people will lose buying a stake in pates!
Also entirely agree with the floating out of position thing, it sounds like something Jeremy would do.
You mean if someone satellited to the sunday mill for $11, you'll pay $1.10 for a 10% stake?

And about the blog forum. Sorry guys but for now there's no reply function. It'll just turn into a thread and stop the flow of the blog. I'm sure Fairy can link to another thread somewhere else where you can discuss his blog.

p.s Fairy if you want any help with HTML just ask. I aint very good but I have a basic understanding. No idea how to embed videos but you can use [ yt] [ /yt] for that. Use things like <center> </center> and <align="right"> </align> if you want to shift things (like images) around the page.

Internet banking is taking forever to sort out. This is the 3rd time I've tried to get it done. So I'm going to have to go into the bank tomorrow (monday) and check to see if we got enough cash in there. All the money is being plowed right back into the site and it's going to cost a bit so need to see if we can afford it. I'm almost certain we can but need to double check as I have pretty much next to nothing in my current account.

Not entirely sure what colour scheme to go for. Originally thinking blue and white but that's pretty damn boring. We get unlimited reviews with the redesign so we can really try to customize it.
