    Fa Cup Weekend

Ok so its FACUP 4th round weekend, a time for fabulous upsets. What I am going to do is go through a list of the ties and give u my reasoned opinion. Do not hold me to this, at the end I will tell you what my bets are.

    Hartlepool v West Ham
Ok so West Ham are not doing too well at the moment sitting in 17th on the form guide for their league... LEAGUE 1- if u think about it logically West Ham should nick this game, but I see it being quite tight what with Bellamy having left.
I will go with a Away win, but not a convincing one due to Hartlepools ground not being perfect. Less than 2.5 goals seems to be the bet. Correct scores 1-0 2-0 west ham.

    Chelsea v Ipswich
Chelsea of the Mourinho and Grant era were known for their astonishing home form yet under Scolari it seems poor. They were taking to a return leg by Southend, so can Ipswich nick the game. Chelsea lost to Burnley in the Carling cup, but realistically i do not see Ipswich possessing a threat. I see a goal in the first 15 minutes settling chelsea and them going to win comfortably.

    Doncaster v Villa
This has Villa written all over it, I just do not think that Doncaster will stand a chance. I expect a comfortable win, and can see O'Neill giving delfounso a chance. The kid has a great goal scoring record so him for first goal seems the best bet, although each way may be an option.

    Hull v Millwall
How can i put this politely, Hull have no chance.
Millwall are on form and are pushing for promotion, Hulls honeymoon period is over and Millwall look to be my certain shock of the competition.

    Kettering v Fulham
Who would have thought Fulham would be pushing for Europe! Hodgson may not put out a great side for this game but they should still win. My only worry is that the stadium will not have the best pitch and should it rain a scrappy goal is on the cards, with a possible 1-0 shock win for kettering from a corner. I actually think 8/1 on kettering is good value, but would back 1-0 or not bet on this game at all.

    Portsmouth v Swansea
People think Pompys draw v spurs was a great result, i disagree. Spurs are a team on the downfall and are in serious risk of relegation, lets be honest noone thought leeds would go down, the joys of football is it does happen.
Due to this I can see Swansea nicking this game, Pompy do not have a great strike force and the defence, whilst looking quite secure, still has gaps. Swansea hav a strong team and could cause another upset here. Away win

    Sheff Utd v Charlton
2 Teams in the same league, yet Charlton are 5/1 to win. Ok there not playing great football but this is the FA cup a chance for a break to cheer the fans up. I can't resist this price as u will be hard pushed to ever find a team outside the top flight be a 5/1 dog v a team in the same division.

    Sunderland v Blackburn
Great game on the cards? I don't think so. This premiership tie will be one sided. With the arrival of Sam Allardyce Blackburn see happy again. Sunderland still have a decent team but if Kenwyn- Jones fails to perform than they are screwed. I reckon Blackburn will win by 2 goals here so if u can get them (-1 goal) on the handicap I would reccomend taking it. If they score first then they will win. Is pedersen due a goal?

    Torquay v Coventry

Coventry seem to be likely to win this, but lets be honest Torquay on there home ground with a sketchy pitch could have a result here. Maybe not a win but I see them casuing Coventry problems. Due to this I would say Torquay draw no bet or double chance home/draw. (torquay are 4/1- note earlier that charlton are 5/1 v team in same division... explain those odds lol)

    Watford v Crystal palace
I hate this game. I have no idea what can happen, both teams are so inconsistent its hard to predict. Due to this my only reccomendation would be a draw. at 11/5 it seems likely that should they meet 3 times they would draw at least once. Maybe a good bet.

    West Brom v Burnley
How heartbreaking was that Burnley Spurs game. This game is dependent on the managers ability to rise the players up for it. I think the knowledge that they can have another good cup run and add another premiership side to their list of victims may be enough. Plus West Brom aren't too far above them in quality. 7/2 on Burnley to win seems reasonable so I am tempted.

    Wolves v Middlesboro
Wolves are favourites for this, a team a league below being favourites, and to be honest I am a little disappointed that the bookmakers were wise to this. I think Wolves will win this game and was hoping for better odds than 5/4 but its def a game I will back.

    Man Utd v Spurs
Backing against spurs this season has shown a huge return, but as a gooner i hate this game, any outcome is a bad one for me.
Due to me having a nice bet on spurs to get relegated (£20 at 50/1) I want them to have as many games and distractions as possible, but I just can't see united losing. United win at 1/3 lacks ANY value- and the handicap (utd -1) at evens is still dodgy. Im quite tempted by spurs ht utd full time at around 33/1 just for value

    Cardiff v Arsenal
Am i allowed to bet on this as a gooner.... yes :P
I see arsenal overcoming this with ease and a fourtime with wolves(5/4), villa(4/9) and blackburn(7/4) seems to have a good return with Arsenal at (4/7)
As a person who loves fairytale stories I HAVE to back Ramsey to score anytime versus his whole club, with a muted celebration out of respect. We see it happen all the time, why not on sunday?

    Liverpool v Everton
Liverpool through away a 1-0 lead to Everton and that has hurt them a lot surrendering there lead at the top of the table.
Everton will be a lot happier from this result and I see it driving them to another good performance. Merseyside derbies are always good, and a red card at 9/4 seems a good bet with 8 red cards in the lat 8 derbies!
Also Everton at 11/2 (6/1 in some places) seems WAY to big, and i can see Everton winning 1-0 (liverpool are strugling to score on a run of a lot of 0-0 draws to stoke etc, while everton enjoy clean sheets)

Ok so thats my game by game analysis hope it helps. My other bets will be a Lucky 31 on 5 games. For those of you who are unaware of what this is, it is 31 bets! U have ur singles (5) doubles (10) trebles (10) fourtimers (5) and accumulator (1) my choices are
    Millwall
    Swansea
    Charlton
    Torquay
    Everton

    Good luck to you all

A lot of sportsbetting right there. Looks like a good set up, let us know how you get on. Got some good bets going on there. Saw the Burnley v Spurs game the other night and thought it was amazing! Not heart breaking! Good luck with the Charlton match. What's your overall return looking like?

I'm a Liverpool fan but I think 6 to 1 on Everton is great odds for a team who drew against the same opposition on the same ground less than a week ago. Wolves as favourites is a good shout I think as they would get a lot of backing otherwise! I think Cardiff would have a decent chance if Arsenal were in a better league spot but this game might be more important to them than otherwise. I recon Swansea and Hartlepool have decent shots.

I have a spreadsheet of my winnings and up until the tennis yesterday (federer wining straight sets) i was well up there. Thankfully Ivanovic lost and i picked up a nice sum on correct set score 2-1.

Don't wanna say how much im up cos my spreadsheet is innacurate but for this year its about 400%.

Have to agree. I'm not really into sports betting any more but I think that's fantastic odds for Everton to win.

    How good was Torres' flick!!!
I think Howard was still in awe when Gerrard took his shot

p.s. Get as much money as you can on Man Utd winning the Champions League.

Man U are currently 7/4, which is pretty generous considering Barcelona don't actually have a back line. Alves is suspended after being booked, Abidal is out after his red card, Puyol is terrible now and they're going to have to play Caceres, who is transfer listed at the start of FM2009, and with good reason. He's ****.

    Good luck.
