Any other girls?!

I'm Caz and I've been playing poker for only a year
Went to the Birmingham Uni freeroll (my first freeroll) the other night and out of about 90 people there was one other girl disappointing!
Is the turnout any better on here?

Hey caz. We had about the same turnout at our first event in Leicester. There is one girl on here from Leicester and maybe a couple of others about. We're looking at doing some tournaments online that should have a big turnout.

I don't remember being introduced to anyone? I remember the guy on door in the green t-shirt as we were all called in individually, and the guy on my table - this could have been James
Oh... and the guy stood on the laptop who started throwing insults because people weren't sitting down quickly enough,
"Can everyone sit down straight away?! How many socially retarded people can we fit in one room!"

If you were put on the first table that had been seated then yes? (by the laptop at the front) The other girl I saw was on the table by the door.
If it was you on my table then you pretty much ended my night when you had four of a kind 8s

The guy throwing insults wasn't the friendliest. He sat to my left and pretty much abused everyone at the table but he actually seemed like a decent bloke.

As for more girls on the internet, I don't know but it's a pretty male dominated game! Did you know anyone from the poker society before you went to the freeroll?

Yes I have noticed this male domination of the game!!!! I was taught by a group of guys I hung around with last year and was pretty bad. This year there's 20 or so of us that play in a league we've got, 10 of us play regularly and I'm currently 2nd in the table (I have improved!!) so was talked into going along. 6 of the regulars went along to the freeroll but none of us were part of the society before hand! I was terrified to start with buuut I had fun

Lol ye i know. Sadly i had to donate my first place prize to second but it was a very fun night!
The league sounds awesom, we can get it on the site for you guys if thats somthing you might be interested in. How do you do the league scoring system?
