    I hate these...

Was this a good fold? I thought it was.. Although I gave it a double take, thinking was that the right play?

Yeah I did fold it, unfortunately. I was focused elsewhere and didn't see that it wasn't opened like I thought It was. Still could of lost to 72spades. What a mistake on my part I guess.

using this logic, one must fold every hand.

Well how many times is a J8os gonna pay off? I didn't know everyone was gonna fold behind me, if I did it would of been nice.

I don't get it. You folded J8o from cutoff then you're upset because you "would have" flopped second nuts?

It doesn't matter what hits the board, in fact its meaningless to pay attention to that except to allocate things the players in the actual hand cannot have. Either your hand has enough equity to open or it doesn't. And, I'm pretty sure J8o from hijack doesn't.

I wasn't upset at all.. I folded like I wanted to, was it right? I thought so, Seeing the flop made me question that. I feel I folded correctly, although It was brought up I could of opened and played it. I thought that it was in that situation a good hand to of maybe played, Seeing as I should of considered the players behind me to fold to a 3bet.. and capitalized on hitting the flop.. Thing was I played too TIGHT?? Bitching never happened.

** I'm seeing both sides here, your telling me (bizkit) It was right to fold and I'm getting other advice that situational awareness dictates a loose Raise?? I'm confused

raise, re-raise, fold to a 5-bet is pretty standard for j8o

the fact you're asking whether you should fold based on what came out on the flop makes me lol.
