Had the exact same thing happen to me on a board like that. Except he didn't even have a flush. Prick. Lost a BI.

He used the old jedi mind trick to make you put your money in the middle then insta-shipped the pot.

I know I OPRed him after as well and was like wtf mayte.

I think he must've been wasted or something because he called off 30bbs pre flop with A8 and got busted by AK like 10 hands later.

Ok I'm going to be a bit of git here and try to justify his river call (but not his line). The thing is bridgey you have few legitimate hands here that would play the way you did. On the river I would put your value shoving range here to be Kc,Ac,(would you shove Qc or lower flushes?. Now how many Kcx,Acx do you possibly have bear in mind you would check back the turn (imo) with a lot of medium strength hands. I just think you rep a really narrow value range here with the ace high flush with 2 clubs being most likely.

Now consider that the opponent only needs to be right here 23.5% of the time here it can't be an awful call.

he does not have to be right 23.5% of the time, he's on the bubble, a quadruple up with a bluff catcher is all well and good but its absolutly horrible on the bubble.

Yeah his river call isn't too bad and I can justify him making it if he has QxTc as it is essentially the same hand (i'm not value shipping 9c here) the way he gets to the river is the sick part. Limp-call then check call 2 streets is just filthy when I had been showing hardly any aggression prior to this point.

I think you really have to know the guy is uber nitty to fire these three barrels here. It's an $8 bubble so people aren't going to fold off as much cause the money jump just isn't that meaningful. And because its a blind vs blind hand I think that makes it even more suspect and people tend to defend it and call down lighter. It's also essentially around a 1/2 pot bet on every street postflop which might be the correct way to fire 3 credible barrels but I wonder if he's folding the river even if a club doesn't come.

lol @ trying to justify this line. Its just mental, if we didn't have OPR at our disposal or I posted this hand from his perspective you would be slating this play. Fact. It's completely horrible against an unknown (which i was) The fact that he calls off 30bbs with A8 pre a few hands later indicates he was not playing properly, for whatever reason.

Also bizkit, I have seen people fold their way into the cash in $1 tournaments so don't underestimate how much seemingly frivolous (sp??) money may mean to some people. A LOT of people do not play within their bankroll.
