    Possible stupidity/genius ITT

Bubble of an 18man $11sng. We're all pretty short, nobody has been particularly aggressive. I'm 4/5 with (importantly) a guy with 4bb's OTB.

My plan was to min-raise A10 utg and take it down, and if i met any resistance from anyone except the shorty i would lay down.

I felt the chances of me staying in the tournament and cashing were better by min raising, than standard shoving A10 with 7bb's and getting called beaten/getting drawn out on - making my chance of maney 0 when there's a good chance the shorty will bust before me and i'll at least cash. Also since we're all short i felt the sb/bb wouldn't feel committed to at least see a flop with ATC so i could just take it down.

    Thoughts?

5 handed (4 handed if you discount the shorty that can't bust you). The chance that ATo is good is just too big to pass up. Min raise folding just seems incredibly spewy? I don't know much about ICM but in a spot like this I'm just going to ship.

It's spewy as ****. A10 is probably the best hand even if someone ships, but the times i get drawn out on/am beaten i make nothing, whereas if i hang on shorty is likelier to go before me and i'll make cash. Am i just thinking too much?

    And yeah 4/5

Oh god at least read what i wrote if you're gonna comment ffs. Of course min raise fold is horrible, but there's a bit more to this situation than that.

I don't know if open folding/bet folding is going to guarantee you anything in prize money. If the shortstack doubles (which isn't unlikely) you're pretty ****ed. I think you either steal or win the pot, then you're pretty much guaranteed to cash.

Alright, calm down. It sounds like you're just thinking about it too much. I think A10 is big enough to shove. I don't think you should be but if you're just playing for the bubble then its a fold. The min raise/fold, then going through the blinds in the next 2 hands leaves you as the short stack with less than 4 bb after that anyway

    JUST JAM THIS EVERY DAY.

I've seen shortstacks fold pre with 1.3bbs on the bubble of these turbos. + he can last a few more times till he has to pay a blind into the pot. In this spot A10 is the nuts.
