31 Your first gamble

I think my first gambling experience would have been the Grand National when I was very young. Fortunately I won bugger-all and therefore didn't get addicted at an early stage (that happened later on).

It was either gambling on that or gambling the little horse racing machines where you put in a 10p bet and pick a horse to win and these little mechanical horses run up a bit of plastic. It was probably rigged as I never won.

In my a level test for history. There were 2 questions, first question could be on one of 2 topics, second question applied to both topics. I chose to gamble and only revise 1 topic.

I never bet on horses because i know i know nothing about it and i would just be pissin my money away, but i bet on football. I need to put some more money on my account cos i lost it all playing blackjack, i was up as well - i just couldn't quit lol

O yeah and i put 100£ on liverpool to beat arsenal in the champs league. i was going to put 500- 1000£ on them i was that confident but i thought if we did lose it would be a big problem!. i won 245£ thou, but i am sure i would have had at least 3 heart attacks if i put on 1k on them winning - 2.4k would have been nice thou

lol that is a big gamble. Even £100 I'd be giving myself heart attacks mate. I put a £2 bet on Silver Birch to win last years Grand National at 50 to 1 and he came in lol. ****ing wish I bet more!!! (of course)

My Gran gave me £2 at Huntingdon races and told me to put it on her "hot tip". It won and I never looked back.

ps. I managed to lose £75 in my last trip to Newmarket.

£75?! Last time I went to Newmarket I blew a lot of money on alcohol but not betting. We turned up so late we only had 2 races left. This was shortly after I won that tournament, so things could have gone messy.
